Thursday saw the start of a “dead cat bounce” for many oversold CBOT futures contracts, and that trend continued Friday. Corn and wheat futures finished higher for the day but posted the gains on unconvincing volume and with little in the way of meaningful technical developments. The soy complex tried to turn higher but could not sustain the early rallies heading into the close and all three legs of the soy crush settled in the red.
