The CBOT rallied sharply on Tuesday with Russia’s actions in Ukraine again at the forefront of the market’s mind. Russia is trying to annex four parts of Ukraine this week and implications that it is building troop reserves and resources suggest no peaceful end to the war is coming soon. Wheat was the upside leader for the day and the Chicago market posted a 60+ cent gain. Corn followed the strength with 10-13 cent gains and soybeans also pushed higher, though they were more influenced from the strong rally in October soymeal.
