The major feature of the CBOT on Tuesday was the rally in all legs of the soy crush. Soybeans, soyoil, and to a lesser extent, soymeal, all posted strong gains for the day as U.S. demand comes into greater focus amid the plight of the Argentine crop. The ongoing drought in Argentina is prompting another series of crop production forecast cuts and the market is currently adding any lost Argentine production/exports to the U.S. export program. Soyoil posted a second day of strong gains while soybeans took back all of Monday’s losses.  The grains markets were quieter but the weakness in the U.S. dollar allowed corn and wheat to push higher in early trade.
