Overnight trading featured extended weakness in the soy complex while wheat and corn managed small gains. Yesterday’s fund selling pushed markets towards oversold levels which sparked the modest strength in CBOT overnight prices. Corn finished the overnight up 1 cent while wheat futures managed 3-3 ½ cent gains and soybeans ended down 3 ¼ cents.  The day session featured slightly firmer prices with corn benefitting from short-covering and commercial buying and wheat firmer from a lack of anything else to do. The soy complex remained under pressure as Chinese crushing margins and demand are continued headwinds for the market.
