Meat Maneuvers The U.S. Cattlemen’s Association asked USDA to opine on whether alternative proteins such as cell-cultured products could be labeled as “meat.” USDA answered in effect, by arguing it lacks the authority on the topic. USDA regulates meat and FDA regulates other food products. The federal government is awaiting the outcome of a public solicitation for comment on the topic. All of this may be for not. Weighing in on strategic realignment

WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company.
