Russia’s wheat supplies may be tighter, but it is still not out of the market. Egypt's state grain buyer, Mostakbal Misr, is said to have made a “significant” purchase of Russian wheat. The four shipments will be shipped on four vessels sailing under the Egyptian flag, which may indicate a barter form of transaction. Such a deal reflects the constraints on hard currency for both nations.  Russia’s run as the most dominant supplier of wheat is relatively recent and could last for several years to come.
