Corn Most of Argentina’s agricultural area continues to be impacted by drought. The early planted corn is almost finished but the late planted crop is passing through the critical yield-defining phases under drought stress. The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange reported a huge deterioration in crop conditions last week, especially with the late planted corn, of which the good/excellent rating fell 18 percent. Across the entire crop (early- and late-planted corn) only 17 percent is rated excellent/good while 55 percent is rated fair and 28 percent poor/very poor).
