Corn The moisture content of corn still standing in Argentina’s fields continues to fall, allowing for faster harvest progress. To date, 15 percent of the area has been harvested with an average yield of 4.1 MT/ha.  Even though Argentina will have a much smaller crop than in previous years, corn prices are under strong pressure both in the local market and premiums in the FOB market. There are multiple reasons for this, but the primary factor is the huge Brazilian crop that is expected to come in June/July.
