Mercosur Regional Analysis

Corn Argentina’s corn harvest is finally finished and, according to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, total production reached 52 MMT, down 3 MMT from last year’s crop.  The corn market’s dynamics remain similar to those of the last few weeks. The FAS market is very active, even more active than the FOB market, as farmer selling has been strong. This means that exporters continue to increase their long position, but ports are now full of corn. Additionally, Argentina’s market is starting to see a lot more forward business and less interest in trading spot positions. Infrastructure investment due diligence

On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant.
