Sorghum Argentina’s sorghum planted area and production has steadily fallen since the 2011/12 campaign. The highest planted area was 1.27 Mha, which yielded a 4.4-MMT crop. Last year’s crop covered 0.52 Mha and produced 1.85 MMT. This year, it looks like the sorghum crop will be larger, with planted area estimated at 0.57 Mha.
