Wheat The Argentine harvest keeps moving at a good pace and the national average yield is increasing as combines enter areas in the center and south of Buenos Aires. The national average increased from 1.88 MT/ha to 1.96 MT/ha last week. The weekly progress was 11 percent and total harvested reached 53.5 percent. The quality of this year’s harvest is very heterogeneous; grains are dry and healthy but the test weight and protein/gluten vary significantly between areas. The wheat export vessel lineup remains incredibly low, with vessels waiting to load now about 200 KMT. December will likely end with exports of 0.5-0.6 MMT, which would be 66 percent below last year.
