Wheat Argentina’s wheat crop is suffering from a cold, dry winter. Many areas have not received meaningful rains since June and the crop is suffering. Presently, more than 60 percent of the planted area has soil moisture levels rated as fair/dry and 36 percent of the wheat crop is rated fair/bad (an increase of 10 percent from the prior week). The Cordoba province, which provides about 20 percent of Argentina’s total crop, is the most affected and many hectares are lost already. Santa Fe is in a similar situation.
