A loan advance seems to be impossible with the current situation in the North African country; however, both the IMF and the Egyptian government have said that discussions are progressing and do not see any delays beyond what would be normal for such a complicated loan agreement. Both parties are hoping that an agreement can be finalized sometime in June, as long as the new political parties in Egypt are in full agreement with the details.It is tough to imagine that all these new Egyptian Parliament members are going to rubberstamp any loan agreement.
