According to the latest USDA-FAS report on Bangladesh, wheat imports in 2017/18 will increase nearly 1 MMT to 6.5 MMT, while corn imports will be steady at about 1 MMT. The country only produces approximately 1.2 MMT of wheat per year with total consumption at about 7.5 MMT.
