To date about 43,000 MT of the 75,000 MT of wheat donated by India have received through the port. Indian has also said that shipments of goods for CIS countries will be sent through Chabahar port --- up to now shipments from India to CIS destinations have had to travel via China. It is reportedly about 20 percent lower in transport costs using Chabahar port.
