The trade talk has been about better soybean and smaller corn yields than expected since these harvests got underway. The latter yield, though, would have to drop below 170 bushels/acre in order to appreciably change the corn outlook.The USDA reports to be released 12 October will include revised yield and production updates for corn and soybeans plus the first production estimates for sunflower and canola. These new production numbers will be incorporated into the WASDE (supply/demand) revisions that will be issued at the same time.
