Argentina Still Subsidizes Biodiesel Exports Contrary to earlier reports, Argentina has not completely eliminated its export incentives for biodiesel. While the export rebate was removed, biodiesel remains eligible for incentives given to the export of processed products. As a result, biodiesel exports now are subject to an export tax rate of 24.24 percent. Therefore, the tax differential between soyoil and biodiesel is now 7.73 percent. It is not as beneficial as the earlier incentive, but it is still enough to ensure that Argentine biodiesel is the most competitively priced on the global market.
