China Sells More Reserve Soybeans The Chinese government today sold an additional 400,001 MT of soybeans from its reserve stocks. The soybeans were sold to crushers in the northeastern part of the country at an average price of 4,298 yuan/MT (about $680/MT). That was lower than the 4,552 yuan/MT crushers paid for the soybeans auctioned on 13 September.Since 28 June a total of 2,960,322 MT of reserve soybean stocks have been sold by the government. It is not known how many soybeans the government will sell from its reserve, but analysts expect the total quantity to reach 4 MMT at least.
