Lethal Chinese Avian Flu Baffles Experts A team of flu experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) were in China this week to seek answers on how to deal with the dangerous H7N9 avian flu. The disease thus far has infected 108 people and killed 22 of them. The WHO experts said that in terms of fatality rates, it is one of the most lethal flu viruses that has ever been identified. To date, there is little evidence it is being spread among humans; otherwise, the number of people infected would be much greater.
