Indian Vegoil Imports Continue to Rise India's imports of vegoils have continued to grow thus far in the 2012/13 marketing year, with palm oil accounting for all of the increase. Imports from October 2012 through May 2013 totaled 7.249 MMT. That was an increase of 11.5 percent over the 6.504 MMT imported in the same period a year earlier. Imports of palm oil rose from 4.787 MMT last year to 5.904 MMT this year, an increase of 24.1 percent. On the other hand, imports of soyoil fell by 37.2 percent to 0.444 MMT in October 2012 through May 2013.
