Sizable Old-Crop Soybean and Soymeal Export Sales This week's USDA export sales report showed sizable sales of soybeans and soymeal for shipment in 2012/13. Net old-crop soybean sales totaled 128,300 MT. The main buyers were unknown (34,900 MT), Indonesia, (31,500 MT), Japan (29,800 MT), Taiwan (25,500 MT) and Vietnam (5,500 MT). Sales were partially offset by a 1,300 MT decrease for Mexico. Exports totaled 82,000 MT with the main destinations being Mexico (34,100 MT), Indonesia (26,100 MT), Japan (6,800 MT), Vietnam (6,600 MT) and Canada (4,400 MT). Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment.
