Big New Crop Soybean Sales Last Week Today's USDA export sales report showed U.S. exporters made exceptionally large new crop soybean sales last week. The net total sold for shipment after 31 August was 1.8934 MMT with the main buyers being China (1.333 MMT), unknown (417,000 MT), Japan (60,300 MT), Turkey (25,000 MT) and Indonesia (23,300 MT). That does not include the 963,000 MT that USDA announced earlier in the week were sold to China for shipment in 2013/14. Total U.S. soybean exports to date for MY 2013/14 stand at 18.874 MMT which is half of what USDA forecasts will be exported for the entire current marketing year.
