Canadian Canola Crop Forecast Below Expectations, But Still a Record Statistics Canada released its production forecast yesterday for Canada's main crops. The agency is forecasting canola production this year at 14.7 MMT, which is the largest ever and would be an 11.5 percent increase over last year. However, the projection is well below the average trade estimate of 15.5 MMT.The survey of the canola crop was done 25 July–5 August.
