Weekend Rainfall Insufficient to Stem Soybean Losses Rainfall was received in the Midwest over the weekend, but the amounts and coverage were insufficient to stem losses from dryness and heat. About a half-inch to almost one and one half-inches was received along the Missouri River valley in northwestern Missouri, eastern Nebraska, western Iowa and southeastern South Dakota with little or no rainfall received in central and eastern Iowa and much of Illinois.
