South American Soybeans Begin to Arrive in U.S. Over the weekend, Thomson Reuters reported that a shipload of Brazilian soybeans arrived at the mouth of the Mississippi River on the way to a discharge facility upriver. The soybeans were loaded at the Brazilian port of Santos, and this shipment is likely the first of several expected to arrive in the Gulf for transit to crushing plants upriver. Cargoes of soybeans also are expected to be brought into the U.S. via East Coast ports.
