China Grants Crushers Authority to Buy and Import U.S. Soybeans at Low Tariff Rate AgriCensus today reported the government of China has authorized several Chinese soybean processors the right to buy and import an unlimited amount of U.S. soybeans over the next year at the standard tariff rate of 3 percent. The crushers can request to make the purchases and imports over the one-year period beginning 1 March or 1 April. Crushers will be required to report the amount purchased and the approximate purchase price to the government.
