India’s Quest to Export More Soymeal Threatens Domestic Availability  India’s government and soybean processing industry are pressing China to resume imports of Indian soymeal. The chairman of India’s Soybean Processors Association indicates this would allow the country’s soymeal exports to grow to 2.5-3.0 MMT in 2018/19 from 1.75 MMT in 2017/18. If that were to occur, however, it would be India’s domestic poultry, dairy and aquaculture sectors that would pay the price.
