NOPA Members’ Record August Crush The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) yesterday released its August soybean crush report. As expected, it indicated members crushed the largest amount ever for that month at 158.885 million bushels (4.32 MMT). That was down from 167.733 million bushels (4.57 MMT) in July but up 11.6 percent from 142.424 million bushels (3.88 MMT) in August 2017. The September 2017-August 2018 NOPA crush volume was 1.929711 billion bushels (52.52 MMT), which suggests the total U.S. soybean crush volume was about 2.053 billion bushels (55.88 MMT).
