U.S. Soy Export Sales Highlights – China Buying A Lot of U.S. Soybeans Today’s USDA export sales report indicated U.S. exporters had fairly good success selling U.S. soybeans and soymeal for export in the week ending 9 July. However, the big news this week was a resumption of large sales of soybeans to China that have been reported by exporters since 9 July. Today’s export sales report indicated exporters reported net sales of soybeans last week of 313,000 MT for export in 2019/20 and 767,700 MT for export in 2020/21. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
