It occurs to us that if nothing else, the flipping of the calendar page to May will force a re-examination of the perceptions that directed the market's price performance during March and April.It is the first day of May, and spring appears to be finally arriving in the central U.S. Weather models project considerably warmer weather starting this weekend and lasting at least through most of next week. Perhaps soil temperatures in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota will actually climb into the 50 degree F range. Precipitation should be much lighter and more scattered than the deluges of rain and occasional snow that pounded the Midwest with regularity during April.
