We reported on Friday that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Virginia) is actively pursuing a plan to separate farm programs and nutrition programs into two pieces of legislation. The House Leadership will know more about how this idea will fly with the Republican rank and file by the end of the Independence Day recess when the House returns on 9 July.
