Orbán and AMLO The EU must contend with Hungarian President Viktor Orbán and the U.S. must contend with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO). While Orbán undermines the freedom of the press, judicial independence, and political fairness, AMLO is out to restrict imports from the U.S. and sides with the autocratic rulers of Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. He announced today that he will not attend this week’s Summit of the Americas because it excludes these three rogue nations.
