Reducing Food Waste: Will It Impact Commodity Markets?

USDA and the EPA have targeted a 50 percent reduction in food waste by 2030, which is about 4.75 billion pounds (2.375 MMT) annually for the next 14 years. They are proposing a hierarchy of actions to accomplish this, which could possibly have significant, unintended consequencesReducing food waste is a hot new topic among the news media and in political circles. Infrastructure investment due diligence

On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment.
