Remake Agriculture for the Climate The World Bank has issued a report on achieving net zero emissions in the agrifood system (Recipe for a Livable Planet) that cites the sector for being a big emitter, but also one that can achieve reductions at a relatively low-cost. It makes the usual recommendations of eating less red meat and dairy, and instead boost poultry and plants. It says this can be done by governments “reorienting subsidies for red meat and dairy products toward lower-carbon alternatives.”  The Bank is sort of forgetting the trouncing that EU politicians have taken over their Green Deal/F2F effort.
