On Thursday, 12 January, USDA will release its final production estimates for the 2011 corn and soybean crops. The last change to these production forecasts was in November. Most analysts are expecting another slight reduction in both the corn and soybean yield estimates. There was certainly no evidence of any yield improvement at the tail end of the harvest. USDA will also release its January WASDE the same day, and these supply and demand estimates will incorporate any yield adjustments on the supply side coupled with any changes in demand.
