The United States is agreeing with France and current G-20 leader Mexico to possibly hold the first meeting of the rapid response forum created as a result of the 2008 food price spike. The meeting would be held in early September. Although a key reason would be to reinforce the policy of no food export restrictions, there seems little doubt that several G-20 countries will be demanding a suspension of biofuel production from food grains.
