Sugar Undermines TPP Former U.S. agricultural trade negotiator Jim Grueff says U.S. aggies are already ambivalent about a Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement without Japan and now USTR is engaging in Orwellian doublespeak. On the one hand, Assistant USTR for Agriculture Sharon Bomer reiterates, "The business-as-usual approach over the past 10 years has not worked and will not work going forward."
