During most years, the April WASDE is notable for two reasons. The first is that it will incorporate whatever changes in the current year's supply/demand outlook resulted from the 1 March quarterly stocks reports that came out 10 days or so before. The second reason is that it sets the old crop stage for the May WASDE where USDA will offer its first real world U.S. supply/demand projections for the new crop year as based on the March planting intensions and whatever else has come along that might affect either new crop supply, or demand or both...
