Cash corn prices to the farmer today are generally between $3.00-3.50/bushel. There are a few reasons why farmers will be reluctant to part with more corn at these levels, but also one additional source of money that they haven't used in many years: the USDA loan program.The record U.S. corn harvest is now essentially finished.
