U.S.-Brazil FTA, Not Newly-elected Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is a lean-right populist in the Donald Trump vein. This gives the two leaders a sense of camaraderie that may be reinforced if Bolsonaro visits Washington in the next few weeks. This has prompted speculation that the two governments could negotiate a bilateral free-trade agreement (FTA).
