Wait for the Experts There is new leadership in Washington, and they are receiving appeals for reform of the U.S. food system. Most of the ideas are literally from out in left field. They usually start with overstatement such as, “COVID-19 had our food system on the brink of collapse.” Or “America’s food system has long been plagued by mass inefficiencies” and what is needed is a “National Food Strategy.” Apparently, they have not read or understand the Farm Bill.
