The U.S. wheat futures markets are facing a dilemma. Should they price the relatively bullish wheat supply/demand balance, or the relatively bearish world wheat fundamentals?At this writing, KC HRW futures are higher again by 15-19 cents, and CME SRW futures are up 8-10 cents. The Plains drought and its potential impact on U.S. HRW production continue to push wheat futures contracts upward with KC wheat reaching its highest level in about 18 months.
