Russian Grain Market: 13-17 February 2012 GRAIN COMMODITIES AND FLOUR Russia's domestic grain market remained bullish last week with prices growing at slower rates. Corn prices began to fall, primarily due to the product's low quality. Wheat prices continued to increase, but some factors may influence them negatively in the near future:

Cheaper U.S. wheat may force Russian exporters to take a break in selling wheat or decrease their prices. Russia's Ministry of Agriculture may start selling grain from the Intervention Fund in 2012. Winter crop condition (unlike in Ukraine, Russian winter crops were not as badly affected by the extreme weather).
