China In-Country Analysis

Livestock China’s Feed Demand Continues to Climb as Hog Industry Recovers According to the latest survey results from China’s National Feed Industry Association, the country’s feed output in September totaled 24.4 MMT, up 6.2 percent from August. The surveyed feed producers’ production increase was driven by hog feed, which was up by nearly 54 percent from August to 8.61 MMT. Feed production for broilers, ruminants, and layers improved by 10.5 percent, 9.9 percent, and 6.1 percent to 8.54 MMT, 1.12 MMT, and 2.91 MMT, respectively.
