High Wheat Production and Procurement in India Indian farmers in the western states -- Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and central India (Madhya Pradesh) -- have begun harvesting the largest wheat crop in history, about 88.31 MMT. Millers in these regions have started procuring grain as per their requirements. The minimum support price (MSP) for new crop wheat has been set at 12,850 rupees (USD 257) per MT. Punjab is eyeing production at 16.7 MMT and Haryana is targeting 11.8 MMT of wheat.
