Soybeans: More Activity in Brazil and PNW, Little Movement in Argentina Soybeans had good movement last week in the PNW for spot positions. This origin was the most competitive for early shipments. Without offers from the Gulf because of the Mississippi's shallow draft, Chinese demand concentrated on the U.S. West Coast. Several trades were performed at around +160 SH FOB for LH January or February shipment. Chinese also were actively moving on Brazilian shipments from March onwards. Brazil already has sold quite some volume of its expected production (more than 60 percent), but traders were actively selling shipments in March and April, in addition to some May movement.
