News Updates MOROCCAN AGRICULTURE A report issued last week is quite bullish Morocco's agriculture, although grain imports will have to continue at high levels. The 2011/12 wheat crop is expected to be very good, but this will not be enough to cover all country needs; however, 2012 wheat imports should drop to about 3 MMT from close to 4 MMT last year. Over the next three to four years, the country's total consumption of wheat is expected to grow by about 14 percent, which looks to be much faster than local production can cover.
