The following are some highlights.Egypt: Domestic corn production is forecasted to increase by about 7 percent in the next four years; poultry production is expected to increase by 15 percent (poultry feed is the main use for corn in Egypt). The 2012 inflation rate is expected to be at about 12 percent.Algeria: Domestic barley production is expected to increase by 25 percent and local wheat production is projected to increase 21 percent. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
