Middle East and Mediterranean Regional Analysis

While Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan have signed a preliminary agreement regarding Nile water,  the major water source for farming in Egypt and Sudan, it is estimated that there could be as much as a 35 percent drop in that supply due largely to an Ethiopian project.   Regional Updates MEDITERRANEAN/MIDDLE EAST COMMENTS Yemen has shut down all of the country's ports due to local fighting and airstrikes from Saudi Arabia, which will affect all discharge of grain and oilseed cargoes in Hodeida. Infrastructure investment due diligence

On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
