Near the end of every year, we are bombarded with a wide variety of summaries and analyses explaining what occurred that was important, why it was important and what makes that particular year so unique. More specifically, for those involved with agriculture and related areas of interest, each year is unique and important in its own way. As time passes, however, things that made each year seem so unique tend to become blurred enough that it blends together with preceding years to become history.
